The blade is engraved with Raven Forge in Elder Futhark runes, tuned to a fine cutting edge designed to be utilised like an Ulu knife - when you slice the pizza, the toppings stay put with none of that nasty wheel cleaning.
The Pizza Axe has seen many upgrades since its first run back in early 2020. The Pizza Axe started life with a High Carbon Steel blade, which takes a lot of care - but thanks to customer feedback, the Pizza Axe is now 440 Stainless Steel, which is much more kitchen-friendly and easier to keep in top condition, and the rune-work on the blade is now much cleaner and deeper, too. This Pizza Axe has now hit its final form, an insane looking kitchen utensil built and upgraded to be a perfect fit for purpose.

You can also order the Black Edition Pizza Axe, where the Ash haft has been hand-burnt black then waxed whilst still warm to give an epic finish.
The Pizza axe was designed originally by one of the company owners, Sam Ive. It is, in our very biased opinion, by far the best and greatest pizza cutting tool on the market.

I didn’t think a pizza cutter could spark this much joy in our household… and yet, here we are.
This Viking axe pizza cutter is not just a kitchen tool — it’s a statement. From the moment it came out of the box, it was clear this thing means business. Solid, weighty, beautifully balanced, and sharp enough to make even the most stubborn, overloaded pizza tremble in fear. One decisive swing (okay, rocking motion, but still) and the pizza is cleanly conquered. No dragging. No cheese casualties. No soggy surrender.
The design? Absolutely gorgeous. The axe head gleams like it’s fresh from a forge, the wooden handle feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand, and the runic detailing gives it proper Norse energy. It looks less like a utensil and more like something you’d expect hanging in a longhouse — if Vikings had takeaway nights, this is what they’d use.

Beautiful craftsmanship, both the steel and the wood, a good bit heavier than I first expected based on the size ( in a good way), it is a steel axe after all. Will decorate the room wonderfully while not in use for chopping pizzas.
This is such a must buy. So glad I purchased this. Have just used to slice our homemade pizzas. Absolute dream. And such a bargain in the sale, you must get one. I'm sooooo happy with mine.
Bought a B-Stock Pizza Axe as I love a tinker. The handle had a bit of a wobble, so I removed it and reset it with Araldite epoxy resin, cleaned it up and gave the handle a couple of coats of Osmo and now it’s perfect. What a fantastic product, whether perfect or a repaired B-Stock. I’ve ordered a Z list as a bit of an extra challenge 🤣.

She knows I love my Viking stuff and so, as a personal connection between us, I asked for her name to be engraved in Elder Futhark runes on the handle. Strange gift you may think! but here was my reasoning!!
I love a pizza, and often make them from scratch, I have been known to make the dreaded ham and pineapple, with hot honey drizzle, one of my favs!
but the missus is allergic to pineapple, so misses out, so that she too can have pineapple on her pizza, I had the pizza Axe named pineapple in runic script! so she never has to feel left out. The quality of these axes are really top rate, comes in a fitted box, the perfect gift for the Pizza lover in your life! nothing says “I Love You” like a personalised Raven Forge Pizza Axe!!!

Excellent quality! This is the second axe I buy with Raven Forge. Before purchasing, the staff was brilliant helping me compare between Latin and Norse alphabet for three customisation. They mocked up both in drawing and sent me images, called me to chat to make sure which one I liked.... they went above and beyond to help in my choice. I asked for an unbranded box for delivery as it was a gift, which was done. But inside, I still received the axe in a gorgeous box and card. Of course, the axe is gorgeous and excellent quality. I haven't used it yet for pizza cutting though. I can't wait to give it for Christmas!

Bought as a gift for a friend, and this looks and feels awesome. I already have a “seconds” pizza axe, and I love it, but the lettering on the handle is excellent, and the presentation box definitely shows it nicely.
