Lindisfarne Traditional Mead Lindisfarne Mead is produced using traditional methods at St. Aidan’s winery on Holy Island of Lindisfarne, using honey sourced worldwide to create the perfect balance. It has an ABV of 14.5% and is a unique blend of honey and wine with the sweetness of the honey lingering on the palate.

Flavour notes:
While it has a very pale appearance, the taste of Lindisfarne Mead yields a subtle acidity with a medium body of sweetness. It achieves a dry-sweet balance that gives this drink a more refreshing taste than other meads.

Customer photo review of Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

Not usually a drinker and when I do it's a gin liqueur. So I wanted to try mead. I thought it would be sweeter with the honey, but seemed more like a wine to me, although I know it's not wine it hit me initially like one on first taste but as you you drink more it settles down and becomes moreish.

Customer photo review of Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

This was my first taste of a mead and what a discovery!! As you can tell from the empty bottle this goodness went down within one evening! A wonderful beverage with deliciously smooth and sweet notes and the taste was at the same time strong yet not overpowering. Definitely will be trying the other Lindesfarne mead selections - this is a find and a half!

Lindisfarne Traditional Mead

I'm working my way through the mead collection. Haven't had a single disappointment and on average they're a third of the price that my nearest retailer charges.

Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

A sweet deal with fast delivery. I’ll definitely be buying from these guys again.

Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

A friend got me into mead years ago, and lindisfarne is the best I'd say. Smooth, deceptive in flavour - it's perfect

Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

The first mead I ever tasted - and still a favourite. More dry than sweet and totally moreish!

Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

I would add a photo but its all gone already 🤣 Anyway, this is my favourite mead maker and even though Lindisfarne is only 40 minutes down the road, work gets in the way so I turn to RF to supply it. Would highly recommend it for taste and affordability

Traditional Mead - Lindisfarne

Shall I compare thee to a summers day? Ah, sweet mystery. Many, many "traditional" meads with no adjunctive have, to my palate, seemed thin and watery. NOT this one. I finally know why Lindisfarne is so highly rated. I never tried it before. It tastes like summer in a bottle. It is sweet, with overtones of honey (strange, that - wonder where they came from). It is mellow without being watery. It just lays there and softly murmers "come get me". And at its core it has just a subtle hint of its strength within. Delicious.

Lindisfarne Traditional Mead

Purchased for the second time. A unique gift for someone who has (pretty much) everything!

Lindisfarne Traditional Mead

Bought this for my grandson and he assures me it's 'good stuff'. As always, service was superb with fast delivery and excellent packaging. Thank you

Lindisfarne mead, traditional mead since the dawn of time made by monks on an island in the North Sea raided by vikings. What more can you ask for?
