About the Prize: The Dragon Shield
The Dragon Shield is a true hero's shield. It's hand-made from planks, steel, rope and leather, with a polished double-headed dragon crest gleaming against black boards, a steel-rimmed edge and thick rope binding to protect the rim. At around 63cm across and 3.9kg, it's sturdy and striking, perfect for wall display or as part of a costume (though not intended for historical reenactment). Paired with a big leather-wrapped Viking axe, it makes a formidable Norse display for any games room, man cave or feasting hall.
