About the Prize: The Sword of Altaïr
The Sword of Altaïr was the very first piece in the Raven Forge Legends Collection: an officially licensed 1:1 replica of Altaïr's sword from the original Assassin's Creed, a Ubisoft original. We crafted it using more than 200 references and hundreds of hours of gameplay, reverse-engineering the blade from low-resolution polygons and pixels, and we drew on our own sword-fighting background to get the size, weight and feel just right. It's a knightly arming sword, heavy enough to parry and light enough to move with ease. The swooping eagle quillons are aggressive and angular like a bird of prey, and the signature reversed "V" below the triple fullers is hand-ground on every sword. It's 990mm long with an 800mm tempered-steel blade and a full tang, and weighs around 1.1kg. The edge is blunt, as this is a prop replica.
