“The Balrog reached the bridge. Gandalf stood in the middle of the span, leaning on the staff in his left hand, but in his other hand, Glamdring gleamed, cold and white."
J.R.R. Tolkien – The Fellowship of The Ring
Long lost in a troll hoard, Gandalf recovered this ancient Elven sword and claimed it as his own. He wielded Glamdring throughout the Quest for Erebor, using it against the Goblins of the Misty Mountains. It remained his primary weapon until the end of his days in Middle-earth. The name Glamdring means “foe hammer” in the age-old Elvish tongue. Engraved into the crossguard are ancient Elvish runes that translate to “Turgon, King of Gondolin, wields, has, and holds the sword Glamdring, Foe of Morgoth’s realm, Hammer of the Orcs.”
The quality and craftsmanship of this replica are simply stunning, with clear attention to detail obvious from the tip to the pommel. It features a sleek stainless steel blade, solid metal hilt parts, faux blue jewel inlays, and a genuine leather-wrapped grip. To top it off, the sword is presented with a wooden plaque and certificate of authenticity, so it can be displayed as proudly as it deserves to be.
