This is a replica of an American Model 1850 Army Staff and Field Officers' Sword, which was carried by all members of staff departments, Field Grade officers of Artillery and Infantry, Company Grade Officers of Light Artillery, Staff Officers and Aides-de-Camp between 1850 and 1872. Though other swords were by regulation allowed, this model was by far the most popular sword carried by officers during the American Civil War.

This replica features a long high carbon steel blade, etched down the length. The brass complex hilt and pommel are ornately etched, and the black grip is wire wrapped for durability and ergonomic grip. This blade is sheathed in a impressive scabbard featuring brass fittings. A fantastic addition to any collection.
