Contrary to what you may think, this blushing mead from Lindisfarne doesn't get its colour from berries and the like – it's actually from the addition of orange! A good dose of zest to be found among the sweeter honeyed notes.
This blush coloured drink is a more subtle version of mead, with a hint of orange reaching the palate initially before the more familiar flavour of honey in the aftertaste. The use of less honey in the recipe makes this less sweet than our other offerings and can be enjoyed as you would a rose wine, or a fruity cocktail.
