Helm of Awe Battle Axe

Note: the Helm of Awe Battle Axe is customised in house and has approximately a 1 week lead time.

"The Helm of Awe
I wore before the sons of men
In defense of my treasure;
Amongst all, I alone was strong,
I thought to myself,
For I found no power a match for my own"

In the Viking times, warriors would wear the symbol between their brows as a sign of strength in battle, believing it would grant them victory in battle. The Helm of Awe was also said to provide mental and spiritual protection as well as physical.

This axe is hafted on 27" straight, charred, and waxed English ash. The head is made from hardened high carbon steel, with a Helm of Awe design acid-etch. If you choose to sharpen it, it will hold an edge for a long time.

We have no end of customizations available on these so if you're wanting something specific then please don't hesitate to get in touch with your leather, staining or rune-burning needs.
