This is a replica rapier, a sword that was popular in Western Europe, featuring a slender pointed blade. It was favoured both by civilians (duelling and self-defence) and as a military sidearm throughout the 16th and 17th centuries.

This is really cool as it's the widest bladed rapier we have had to date. In addition to its super chonky blade, this sword also features a complex swept hilt and wire wrapped grip. Its got a sleek black finish and is really well profiled, this is an excellent piece for cutting practice or display.
